Benjamin J. Oevering is the Principal and CEO of Double Diamond Companies, where he oversees its diverse portfolio, Construction Business, Brokerage, and Property Management company. With nearly 20 years of experience, Ben's expertise spans property growth, management, and sales in the Capital Region. Previously, he served as Controller and Vice President of Asset Management at one of the region's largest real estate developers, where he managed accounting, finance, human resources, and risk management functions. Ben provided direct oversight of Self-Storage and Multi-Family Assets, achieving consistently high occupancy rates and strong operating margins at Class A Institutional properties. 

Mr. Oevering’s extensive real estate experience encompasses new development projects, adaptive reuse, renovations, PILOT agreement negotiations, and collaboration with various stakeholders throughout the Capital Region. His decade-long tenure in Commercial Banking focused on commercial real estate, managing over $1 billion in permanent and construction financing. In addition to his role as Principal, Ben, owns and operates Double Diamond Estates, a Real Estate Brokerage. 

Ben holds an MBA and attended the State University at Albany for Undergraduate Studies in Business and Psychology.  He actively participates in economic and community development through roles in organizations such as the Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corporation, the Schoharie Town Board, the Schoharie County IDA, and the Capital Region Community Loan Fund. Ben was recognized in the Albany Business Review's 40 under 40 class of 2020.
